Giacomo Jack Buttacavoli

Giacomo “Jack” Buttacavoli passed away on October 31, 2016 with his family by his side at age 90. He was born on May 29, 1926 to Charles and Antoinette Ciampia Buttacavoli in Yonkers where he was raised and attended local schools. Jack was a WWII Navy Veteran. He married Angelina Massello August 16, 1947; she died December 4, 2006. Jack worked for the Westchester County Parks Dept. for 41 years. He was an avid bowler and golfer and was a founding member of the 20th Century League and was a member of the Armando Rauso AMVETS Post 40 in Yonkers. He is survived by his son Charles and his wife Pat Buttacavoli, 3 granddaughters Jaclyn St. Clair, Gina Buttacavoli and Catherine Salvatorelli and 1 great granddaughter Pia Salvatorelli and a sister Joan DelPezzo. Jack was predeceased by his daughter Annette Lavaia 1 brother and 2 sisters. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Church (Irvington) on Thursday at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
