Helen Krasovic

Helen Krasovic (nee Sweikert) of Hawthorne, formerly of Yonkers died on Monday January 19, 2015 at age 86. She was born on September 14, 1928 to Frank and Anna (Gronski) Sweikert in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce HS. Mrs. Krasovic worked as the cleaning lady for Whalen & Ball Funeral Home for over 24 years, retiring in 1996. On June 13, 1954 she married Edward Krasovic in St. Joseph’s Church, he died in 1999. Helen was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. She is survived by her 5 children; Edward, Timothy, Frank and Katherine Krasovic and Anna Gentile. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Gina, Annie and Patrick. She was predeceased by her siblings Howard Sweikert, Alice Schaeffer, Ann Kinney and Clara Sweikert, and her son Joseph who died in 2012. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Church on Friday January 23rd at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
