

She was born on August 4, 1948, in The Bronx. She was a loving daughter to William and Zoreneida (Solene) Klinkowski. She attended St. Johns Elementary School, Walton High School, Bronx Community College and worked at Columbia University studying Electron Microscopy Cancer Research. Helga was always wise beyond her years, and everyone admired her intelligence and desire to learn. She resided in The Bronx and moved to Yonkers in 1981. She is survived by her longtime partner of 40 years, David A. Cenelli and her three beautiful children, Jason Thau, Linda Ricciuti (Joseph), and Steven Thau (Debra). She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Victoria (fiancé Matthew), Anthony, Jack, Keira, and Caitlyn. She was also a loving sister who is survived by her sister Linda June and predeceased by Carol Ann and Ellen Rose. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a loving friend. Helga was a loving partner, mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren and embraced her time with them. Many knew her from working as a prominent real estate agent and broker where all who knew her loved her. She was exceptional at cooking (one of the best), a talented artist, loved hosting parties, and traveling. Her exquisite look and flare for fashion is unsurpassed. Her beauty served her well in her days of modeling. She lived life with tenacity, wit, passion, undying love and always had a caring way. She has instilled strong values that have served her and her family well. She will be dearly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
Visiting hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave., Yonkers on Tuesday August 26th from 2-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers on Wednesday August 27th at 11am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
