Ilda Sabatini

Ilda Sabatini entered into rest on Thursday June 13, 2019

She was born on October 15, 1931 to Emidio and Ersilia Di Marco in Cugnoli, Italy where she was raised and educated. She then followed her parents to Yonkers, New York and eventually traveled back to Cugnoli, Italy to marry her childhood sweetheart Donato Sabatini. They returned to the United States to make a wonderful life together and raised their family in Yonkers, New York. Ilda and Donato retired from owning and operating the Italian Food Center after 30 years in business. Her husband predeceased her in the year 2000. She is survived by her two children; Daniel Sabatini and Rita Campana as well as mother in law to Joseph Campana and Donna Sabatini. Ilda is also survived by her five loving grandchildren, Jenna Marie Sabatini, Jessica Campana Warshay, Joseph Campana, Daniel Sabatini Jr, and Cassandra Campana. And her fur baby grandchild and great grandchildren Zsa Zsa, Penelope and Pierre. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 16, 2019 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers, New York. The funeral mass procession will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers, New York at 9:30am on Monday June 17, 2019. Entombment follows at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York.
