

Ira H. Foreman, a beloved, brave, devoted, hard-working, kind-hearted, and thoughtful man, passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 10, 1947, to Harry and Rose Cohen Foreman in New Rochelle, New York, Ira was raised and educated in his hometown. He was a longtime resident of Yonkers, New York.
Ira proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from October 1965 to September 1971, achieving the rank of SP5. His military service was a source of great pride for him. After his service, Ira was employed as a technician by the Verizon Company in Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle, and Valhalla until his retirement.
On November 16, 1979, Ira married Linda Armando in Yonkers. Linda survives him and continues to reside in Yonkers. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis Foreman of Ft. Myers, Florida, and his sister, Elaine Foreman, along with her longtime companion, Anthony Bombace of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Ira leaves behind two nephews, Anthony and Jeffrey, and five grand nephews. Additionally, he is survived by his brother-in-law, Richard Armando, and his wife Cathy, as well as his cherished dog, Mugs Mahoney.
Ira was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, a passion that brought him much joy throughout his life.
Visiting hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, located at 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703, on Sunday September 28, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at the same venue on Monday September 29, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. The committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Ave, New York, NY 10470.
