Irene Iwanczyszyn (nee Horodyskj) of Bronx, New York died on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at age 95. Born on August 18, 1918 to Michael and Anastasia Horodyskj in the Ukraine. She worked for New York State with the Disability Review Department at the World Trade Center. She is survived by her husband Wasyl and her Daughter Martha Iwan and her husband Daniel Puszka and her three grandchildren Stephanie, Gregory and Alexander (Alex). She was predeceased by her son Roman who died in 1983. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Mary’s Protectress Ukrainian Church, 1745 Washington Avenue, Bronx, N.Y. on Thursday, July 18th at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Spirit Cemetery, Hamptonburgh, N.Y.
