

Belle was born on June 8, 1933 to Clarence and Phillipine Brown in Yonkers, where she was raised and graduated from Gorton H.S. On July 31, 1954, she married Chester Kielb in Sacred Heart Church. Belle was a parishioner of Sacred Heart, where she was a long-standing and beloved member of the choir. She was also a devoted singer at Our Lady of Hope RC Church in Port Orange, FL, where she spent many winters with the love of her life, Chet. Belle volunteered for the Agnesian Auxiliary Bingo on Hudson Street in Yonkers for many years and she enjoyed playing bingo in Florida as well. Professionally, she held many roles including administrative support, secretarial and switchboard operator, but ultimately, she was most proud of the loving family that she and Chet created. She was predeceased by her husband Chet, her parents Clarence and Phillipine, and sisters Josephine Edmiston, Cecilia Blute, Florence Hendricks and her brother Charles Brown.She is survived by her six children: Mary Jo Wray (Ret. YFD/YPD) of Yonkers; George (Jackie) Kielb (Ret. YFD) of Yonkers; John (Virginia) Kielb (Ret. GM) of Dallastown, PA; Joan (Eric) Dronzek (Ret. YPD) of Yonkers; Robert (Katie) Kielb of Wappingers Falls and Barbara (Brian) Muscatella (Ret. YFT) of Yonkers. Grammy Belle (aka- Gigi or G-Dawg) is also survived by her sixteen grandchildren: Michael, Caroline, Amy, Christina, George, Caitlyn, Julie, Ryan, Erica, Michaela, Brian, Cassandra, Emma, Brandon, Shane, Brett and nine great grandchildren: Lucy, Kayleigh, Leo, John, Hunter, Luca, Sawyer Belle, Erin and Dominick.
Visiting hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, located at 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703, on Thursday October 30, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers, NY 10703, on Friday October 31, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
