Just heard the news about Mr. Jimmy and was so saddened. He was the kindest man I had ever known. I first met him when he came to work at School 24 and was immediately drawn to his kindhearted nature. He was so good to me and many other staff members but he was especially loved by the students. May his memory be eternal 🙏

Mr. Girolamo, Mr. G., James, Jim, Jimmy, my bowling buddy - no matter how you called him, he was all these &  more, giving, funny and had your back. He will be missed.  My prayers are with you. Laura

I am so sorry for the loss of Jimmy.  I had the pleasure of being the Dietary Aide on the unit Jimmy was on.  I will miss his adorable smile, and his little quirks when he would ‘dance’.  I will miss his smile and his winks.  God Bless you Jimmy…rest in peace.

Big Jim, when we were kids living on Cedar Street in Yonkers in late 70s early 80s - Big Jim was the cool parent. All the kids loved him and he always went out of his way for us, Driving us to hockey and baseball games. He was the best and a great dad and husband. I will always be grateful that I knew him. He will always be in my heart!
He even tried fantasy baseball with us back in the day and he made that iconic first pick back in 1989 of Billy Jo Robidoux with such excitment. He always did everything with enthusiasm and passion and had a loving heart. Until we meet again my friend

I am deeply saddened by this news. Mr. G was one my all time favorite people to see at the lanes each Friday for so many years. He always had "that" smile on his face which of course brought out the same in others. I always looked forward to some good natured ribbing and of course sharing a beer while we would lament about our bowling results. I've missed him at the lanes the last few years but I'm also grateful for the many good times we shared and memories of him I'll always cherish.
