We all know Daddy/Pop was a huge Yankee Fan, I thought this would be nice for all of us. Da! Let’s go Yankees.

My fondest memories of Pop are the ones from when I was a little girl because they are some of the most random ones, but are the ones that have really stuck with me over the years. They are the ones that put a little smile on my face whenever they pop into my head. For example, I remember his old apartment that always seemed so huge and always smelled like his delicious Sunday dinners. You could literally smell his apartment from the floor beneath him as you walked up the stairs. And of course, I remember those Sunday dinners. But who could really forget those? They were always amazing. Pop was a great cook. I remember the weird things he had on the wall that had hair hanging from them? I don't remember the story behind them, but they were so unique that they stuck with me over the years. I remember the board games he would have under his bed for all of us. Hungry hippo was the best. I remember having to use the bathroom and sliding myself across the wall to get there because I was afraid that Frisky would scratch me after that one time she did. (She seemed to hang out in the hallway a lot. I was traumatized. Lol) More recently, I remember going to his last apartment and 95% of the time you were probably going to be watching at least one episode of Golden Girls. I have always associated Golden Girls with Pop. Whenever it comes up in conversation with someone I always seem to mention how much my grandfather loves that show, even if I have already told this person that about 20 times. lol. I remember leaving his apartment and then waving from downstairs for about 10 minutes because he'd always immediately run to the window to say bye. You'd do anything to put a smile on his face because seeing him smile was always the best. There was something about it that was just so warm and gentle. I will miss that smile, but I will always have it as one of my greatest memories of him. Even though you are not here, my memories of you are with me forever. I love you Pop, always.

I remember Pop telling me “If I was around 30 or 40 years younger I would have taken a swing at you” I cracked up laughing. I loved having you hold on to me while I pushed the shopping cart when John and I went food shopping with you. When I met you I didn’t have anymore grandparents of my own to do things with or to visit. The first Christmas that John and I had with Marcus and a Nyjae and you came down and spent the day with us. All the visits we had bringing James up and you would play and do funny things with him especially the face swap photo we took with you and him. James watches all the videos and photos we have of you and him constantly on his iPad.  

I’m so grateful to have had You here long enough to hold Lil John when he was born. And when he’s older we’ll show and tell him all about how funny and loving you were. 

  Thank so much for being my Pop and for being our children’s Poppy. I’ll miss you and love you. 

I miss you so much. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. Even though I spent lots of time with you when I was a child, I wish I would have spent more. I think about everything we did together. How I was at your house every weekend when I was a child. All the funny things you did, like popping your dentures out your mouth, and your Joe Pesci impression lol. All the times I would randomly stop at your house and you would ask me if I was hungry, and make me egg and cheese sandwiches. I remember when I was rollerblading at Gordon High School and I fell and cut my leg, so I yelled for you at the window and you brought me inside to see if I was ok and to clean my cut. Oh and that time we went shopping like every other day to find you a jacket and it took almost a month cause you were so picky with your clothes lol. The little things were always the best times with you. Christmas at your house was always the best. There were so many gifts for the family that they’d literally stick out 5’ from your tree. You know whats funny? I do the same thing for my kids now, cause I learned that from you, and I want my kids to feel that joy that you made me feel. I love you and you will always live on in my heart. You were never my Grandfather, you were my father, and if I could be even half the dad that you were, I’ll consider myself lucky. Rest In Peace pop. I know you’re in a good place. 

The most amazing father on this earth, I feel so blessed,  that I was able to spend time together with you creating more memories and spending endless hours talking about all the great times we had.  Now God has called you to be with him. You Truly will be missed.  My memories of you will live on forever in my heart.  I love you 4ever Dad. Until we are together again ❤️❤️❤️

Lisa and John. Im so sorry for your Loss. I know how much you Loved your Dad and how you Loved watching the Yankees with him. Im sending Love and Prayers to you. Rest in Peace Mr. Locatelli.

The loving caring Father you were & I passed this on to my son.(John) & John is now passing this on to his children .
Waiting for you to come home from work so we could go to the park you taught me so much! Basketball, Baseball,How to ride a bike so so much. I could go on forever .Daddy we will meet again & I know in my heart you will be waiting with open arms , you were always my go to.

Lisa, Sorry to hear about your recent loss. You Dad was a Good man and will be dearly missed.

My condolences  for the Locatelli family. Dad was a great, kind, caring, sweet, loving man. I remember all the great times we always had together especially all the good food.
