

James Locatelli, 89, was called to heaven on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. James was born May 24, 1930 to Louis and Mary (Furchak) Locatelli, he was a life long resident of Yonkers. James was a loving caring father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved creating precious memories with his children and grandchildren. He was a New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching the games. James enjoyed preparing Sunday family dinners and going on summer fishing trips. He loved the holidays and will be remembered for his generous heart over the years. Sitting in piles of gift wrap after it was all over is a heartwarming memory that he has left for everyone. Seeing the smiles on their faces brought immense joy to him. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and a kind,compassionate spirit. James was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Locatelli, Gina (Julio) Amaya, and Michele (Jose) Aquino. Also, his grandchildren whom he was extremely proud of and adored, Jessica, Julia, Janelle, Jillian, John, Briana, Joseph, Rachael,
Janine and Andrea. Great grandchildren James, John, Frankie, Angelina, Mateo, and many nieces and nephews.
James was predeceased by his daughter Jamie, mother Mary and father Louis. Brothers Anthony Locatelli, Louis Locatelli and sisters Jenny Sokerka, Elvera Dziedzic, Valer Zanzerella, Julie Wroblewski, Mary Chillo and Sally Carozza.
