She was born on June 26, 1975 in Phoenix, AZ. She had challenges to be met from birth, and medicine would not advance to the point that her rare genetic syndrome could have a diagnosis until she was almost 40. She always faced every challenge and the unknown with grace, bravery and her wonderful smile. She excelled in her academic studies at Red Hook High School, Class of 1993, earned her BA from Bard College in German and Linguistics in 1998, and a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology from The University at Albany, while teaching adjunct classes in Socio-Linguistics, and her students loved her. She worked at Versatrans Division of Tyler Technologies in Latham for the past 18 years. She enjoyed teaching and through doing so she helped people to succeed. Jane will be forever missed by her family: Her parents, Carl and Barbara Majovski, of Ray Brook, NY, her sister, Anne (Michael) Gaydos, of Shelton, CT, her brother, Robert (Rosy Hosking) Majovski, of Roslindale, MA, and her three nieces, Samantha Gaydos, and Carla and Marian Hosking Majovski. Also mourning Jane are her aunts, Marlene Majovski and Sonia Majovski, of Portland, OR, her uncle Robert (Denise) Deyo, of Show Low, AZ, as well as her many good friends. All celebrations of Jane’s life will be private. We request that you reach out, in Jane’s memory, to someone who needs a bit of help overcoming an obstacle in their life, and instead of flowers we ask that you to please donate in Jane’s memory to The National Organization for Rare Disorders.
