Jack entered the United States Army in 1965 and served his country honorably. He took pride in being a private first class medic.
In recent years, Jack fought a courageous battle against cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by his family and incredible friends. The love in the room in his last days was palpable, and was such a source of comfort.
Jack was a parishioner of Sacred Heart on the Hill for many years. Jack lived a very full life. He was a member of many clubs, and organizations. He enjoyed the time he spent at The 140 Club, The Lakers Club, The Amackassin Club, and he loved being a Shamrock. Most notably Jack was a proud member of The AOH Myles Scully Division #1. He had a long career with Local 3 IBEW in the Expeditors Division. He loved golf and especially enjoyed the 19th hole.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Susan, his daughter Kelli, his son John and his wife Cheryl. He is also survived by his sisters Patty and Colleen, his sisters in law Marybeth and Barbara and his brothers in law Jackie and Tony. He is predeceased by his first wife Arlene, his sister Janet, his brother in law Walter and his nephew John.
Jack also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and Miles, Dylan and Sue’s family.
Pop-pop will be missed sorely by his pride and joy Jake and Dylan. They had a bond with him that was so special. He loved them immensely. They took such good care of him.
Jack would request you raise a glass for him. In earlier times he would request it be a Schaefer. These days, he would prefer it be a Guinness.
Cheers to you Jack. Until we meet again we will hold our memories of you close to our hearts.
