Jose S. Custodio of Yonkers died on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at age 88. Born on September 22, 1924 to Joao and Maria (Rosario) Custodio in Massachusetts. Mr. Custodio worked as a carpenter for both St. Johns Hospital in Yonkers and the Hebrew Home in Riverdale for a total of 35 years. Jose was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yonkers. He was predeceased by his wife Ida who died in 2005. Mr. Custodio is survived by his children; Joseph, John, James, Robert, Mari Agnes and Mary Jean Custodio, James Hart, Carol Frerick, Elizabeth Wabnitz and JoAnne Hart. He was predeceased by his brother Manuel. Visitation hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday April 29, 2013 from 2 -4 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Fatima Church; So. Broadway on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 10am. Entombment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
