
Joseph Maschak of Yonkers died on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at age 86. Born on December 23, 1927 to Harry and Eva (Solen) Maschak in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Saunders High School. Mr. Maschak was a building mechanic for AT&T in White Plains; retiring in 1984.In 1950 he married Loretta Carey, she died in 1973. In 1978, he married Pearl McIntryre, she died April, 1981. Joseph was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Church and a former member of the Hollow Fishing Club. He also was a World War II Army veteran and a former member of Post 1506. Mr. Maschak is survived by his son Joseph J. (Catherine) Maschak of Rye, New York and his grandchildren; Kimberly, Joseph Maschak and step-grandchild John Kelly and daughter in law Eileen Maschak, stepdaughters Susan Stofko, Patricia O’Connel, Elizabeth Ryder and Barbara Villani. He is also survived by his brothers; Anthony and Nicholas Maschak and two sisters; Anne Chandler and Helen Charleton. He was predeceased by his daughter Marilyn Imundo and his siblings Peter, Michael, John, William Maschak and Mary Hoyko and Rosalie Botcheller. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17th at 11:00 A.M. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
