

He was born on May 27, 1942 to Harry and Anna Rapasky Romanchik in Yonkers where he was raised and educated graduating from Commerce High School. Mr. Romanchik was an industrial commercial photographer for Ciba Geigy Corporation in Ardsley for twenty seven years until his retirement in 1994. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964 and was a longtime member of the Tin Can Sailors. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. On May 6, 1984, he married his loving wife, Marian Brutto in Yonkers. Mrs. Romanchik survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Joseph (Lisa) Romanchik, Daniel Romanchik and Louis (Emily) Brutto, a daughter, Lori (Mark) Lawther and two sisters, Dorothy Holder and Dolores Darcy. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Brooke, Liam, Jonathan, Lucy, Brennan, Margaret and Thomas. He was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Ebreck. A memorial visitation will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday January 19th from 2-6pm with a memorial service at 5pm.
