Joseph P. Zotti Jr., age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Yonkers, surrounded by his loving family early Friday morning, January 5, 2018. He is survived by his sister Joann Wirchansky, fiance Jin Huang, his twin boys Joseph P. Zotti III and John A. Zotti, his daughter Lisa Loia, and two granddaughters Nicolette Landers and Mattea Loia. Born and raised in Yonkers, the son of Joseph P. Zotti Sr.and Joan Zotti. He attended Emerson Junior High School where he played the drums in a band called the Silvertones with his friends. He went on to graduate from Saunders Trades and Technical high school in 1970 where he majored in electrical wiring starting what would be a life long passion as a tradesman. One of his first jobs was as an auto mechanic working for his Uncle John Kuvinka also spurring on his love of cars. He then became a licensed master electrician allowing him to work side by side with his father in the family owned business Zotti electric. He eventually took the business over after his father's retirement. In his own retirement he was a member of many car clubs as well as the Senior event photographer for Connecticut Cruise News. He may have been taken from us too soon and unexpectedly but he lived a very fulfilling life. He drag raced as a young man at Suffolk County Raceway and took great pride in having a small car collection. He spent much of his retirement going to car shows and enjoying the time there with his many friends. He found a love for dancing later on in life which brought him great joy. He was an avid outdoors man and loved taking his boys out fishing on the reservoir from a very young age creating memories that will never be forgotten. He was the rock of the family and would always be there for anyone in times of need.
He will be sorely missed...
