

Josephine Porcello (nee Aufiero) of Yonkers died on Monday May 11, 2015 at age 91. She was born on September 23, 1923 to Nunzio and Victoria (Pastore) Aufiero in Yonkers where she was raised and attended local schools. On May 20, 1950 she married Anthony Porcello in St. Anthony Church (Willow Street); he died on December 18, 2003. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Tony’s Luncheonette on Lake Avenue for over 20 years. Josephine is survived by her 4 sons; Anthony, Robert (Linda DeAlbuquerque), Joseph (Pana) and Gerard, she is also survived by her brother Victor Aufiero and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Carmine, Mary, Yolanda and Rita. Being an excellent cook, she enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time at their “country home” in Somers. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday May 15th from 2-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Saturday May 16th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
