
Jule (Waipa) Yaskovic died on Sunday September 14th at age 96. She was born June 13, 1918 in Shutesberry, Massachusetts to Andrew and Helen (Korwatch) Waipa. On September 3, 1938 she married her loving husband Andrew E. Yaskovic. He passed away on June 23, 1989. Jule worked for Schraffs New York for many years and then at Keaton’s Dress shop evenings in Yonkers. Besides her husband, Jule was predeceased by her youngest son, Joseph who worked for General Motors in Maryland and died on January 6, 2008. Also four sisters, Ann Dunn, Mary Colombo, Sophie Repicky and Margie Everts and one brother, Michael Waipa. Jule is survived by two sons, Lieutenant Col. Robert Yaskovic and Ronald Yaskovic and one daughter, Janet Flora, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jule was a long time member of Bryn Mawr Center and enjoyed crocheting. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 22nd at Saint Bartholomew’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
