Katherine S. Miksad of Yonkers died on Tuesday April 12, 2011 at age 83. She was born on December 1, 1927 to John and Anna (Juricek) Miksad in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce H.S. Miss Miksad worked as a Manager for N.Y. Telephone Co. for over 37 years, retiring in 1983. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Katherine is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last of ten brothers and sisters those who predeceased her were 6 brothers John, Paul, Steven, Samuel, Emil and George Miksad and 3 sisters Emilia Miksad, Anna Ferguson and Elizabeth Hreyo. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday April 15th from 2-4 & 7-9pm, evening service will be at 7:30pm. Funeral Service will be held in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday April 16th at 10am. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery. Donations may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in memory of Katherine.
