February 1, 1961 ~ September 6, 2025
Lisa Marie was born in Yonkers, New York on February 1, 1961, to Nathan and Florence Mazzarese. She spent her whole life in her birthplace of Yonkers, and attended Gorton High School, graduating in 1979. Although a majority of her life remained down in her home town, Lisa experienced her most unforgettable school breaks, holidays and summers in upstate New York [Mahopac], creating everlasting memories and causing unbound mischief with all of her cousins and family friends.
Lisa had many dreams, talents and passions. She loved cars and knew the schematics like the back of her hand, from the engine to the muffler. She had always dreamed of racing cars, and if she couldn’t race them, she sure as anything aspired to fix them, spending her time as a kid and even into her adulthood at the mechanics shop and gas stations, whether it was pumping gas or helping fix up stripped brakes, cars were her forte. Beyond this, there was one thing she adored just as much as cars; it was her intense passion for dance. If there was a dance floor, she was glued to it, it was her everlasting wish that if she couldn’t fix cars, she would dance her cares away on the floor. Shortly after high school she pursued dance as a very talented instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in her home county of Westchester. Around this time however, Lisa had lost her mother; and at such an early age, Lisa had to step up and care for her house, toughening up and becoming the rock she was always determined to be.
As time went on, Lisa started working as an insurance agent for insurance companies, working a calculator faster than the speed of light. She shortly settled down, after starting her family, marrying her husband Frank, and raising her two daughters Danielle and Nicole; securing her spot as the deep root, and firm foundation of her household, vowing to raise and take care of her family the way she knew she had to. Her tough love was nothing to be scoffed at, it was potent and deeply grounded in care for her family. She was stubborn; a fighter like no other, she wouldn’t give up or take no for an answer; she took this quality with her until her final breath. Lisa was a force of strength like no other; her impact will never be forgotten, and her presence and the love she shared will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lisa is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Margiotta; her two daughters, Danielle and Nicole; her stepchildren Melissa Margiotta and Christopher Margiotta, her five adored grandchildren, Francesca, Madison, Peyton, Nicholas, and Steven. Along with her Aunt Theda “Teddy” Heinz; cousins Pam and Sandra and more; nephews and niece, Gerald [Jerry], Robert, Christopher, Eric, George, Patrick, and Harmony.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Florence Mazzarese, her elder brother Gerald “Jerry” Mazzarese SR. among several aunts and uncles.
