Loyola P. Drohan

She was a lifelong resident of Yonkers and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Loyola Patricia Ryan was born on October 9, 1931 in Yonkers N.Y. to James and Loyola (Barry) Ryan. She was the youngest of four children, and was educated at Sacred Heart Grammar School and High School. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers James, Richard and Peter. She worked as an executive secretary for Hiram Walker, Yonkers General Hospital and Hudson Valley Bank. On Thanksgiving Day in 1953 she married Joseph T. Drohan to whom she was married for 64 years until his death in 2017. She is survived by their four children; Mariann (Forest) of New York City, James (Karen) of Mahopac N.Y., Joseph (Heidi) of New York City, and Matthew (Joanne) of Tampa Florida. She was a loving grandmother to Patrick (deceased), Luke, Sarah, Peter and Angela. Pat derived great fun from family, gardening, travel and weekends on Long Island with her daughter. She was a dignified woman, well respected, who brought out the best in people. Her faith and family were the pillars of a meaningful life. Visitation is on Friday October 18 from 5 to 9 PM at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home Yonkers N.Y. Funeral Mass is Saturday 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Yonkers NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
