Margaret Balun (nee Ferencz) of Yonkers died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at age 93. Born on January 28, 1920 in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. She worked in many clerical positions for both Readers Digest and New York Telephone Company. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Balun. Margaret is survived by her two children; David and Dale and three grandchildren; Jessica, Robert and Christopher. Also survived by Eleanor Piercarski and Ethel Ashline. Predeceased by Emily Lou, Edward, Michael, Andrew and Edward Pinka. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. And 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 27th at 10:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Donations may be made to either Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
