

She was born on April 7, 1943 to George and Minna Knuth Miehle in New York City. She was raised and educated in Yonkers graduating from Sacred Heart Grade and High School. She then attended Mercy College and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social services and a minor in education. Miss Miehle was a teacher for the Board of Ed in New York City from 1965 to 1967. In 1967, she became a teacher for the Yonkers Board of Ed until her retirement in 2000. Miss Miehle was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Hudson River Museum, Friends of Philipse Manor, Sacred Heart High School Alumni Association, Mercy College Alumni Association and the Sleepy Hollow Leisure Club. Miss Miehle was also a docent at the Hudson River Museum and a president of the Docent Council and a smart reading tutor and mentor for the Jewish Council of Yonkers. She is survived by her friends, Judi Tedesco and Michael O’Dwyer. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday May 30th from 9:30 to 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
