

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Jarmilla Baker and Anthony Parra, her grandchildren; Lynda Hollis, Elijah Williams, Dorian Hester, Dylan A. Parra, Jeremy V. Parra and Ava Parra, and soon to be granddaughter, Gabriela Elisa Parra.
Elisa is also survived by her brother Guillermo Alirio Torres, his wife Aurora Torres and her many, many nieces and nephews both here in the US and her native country Colombia as well as her many friends and extended family members.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Antonio Parra.
Elisa, as she was fondly referred to, was born on Aug. 8th, 1940, in Bogota Colombia to Remigio Cortes & Maria Patrocinio Torres Cortes. Elisa came to Westchester NY. In 1967 where she lived and worked until she retired in 2012.
Elisa cared for the elderly for many years as a Home Health attendant before retiring to Orlando FL. In May of 2012.
Elisa was a fervent servant of God and loved to read her Bible and attend church services at Ascension Christian Center in Altamonte Springs, Fla. where she enjoyed serving her community through prayer and volunteering.
A memorial service will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home at 168 Park Ave. Yonkers, NY. 10703 on Friday evening, August 1st, 2025, between the hours of 5-9pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in Elisa Parra’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
