Born on October 29, 1944, in Poland, she was raised and educated there before building a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Maria resided in Yonkers, New York.
Maria married Adam Uzdejczyk, and they shared 54 years of marriage until his passing in 2024. She is survived by her son, Bogie Uzdejczyk, who lives in Yonkers. She is also survived by her six siblings, Basia, Janka, Danuta, Waldek, Ryszek, and Zbigniew. Maria was predeceased by a brother, Janek.
Maria found joy in the simple, meaningful rhythms of everyday life. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, and she spent much of her time taking care of her family—always placing the needs of others before her own.
A faithful presence in her community, Maria actively volunteered at St. Casimir’s Church, offering her time and care in the quiet, steady way that defined her life.
Those who knew Maria will remember her as the most selfless, compassionate person to grace anyone that was dear to her—someone whose warmth, humor, and gentle spirit left a lasting mark on the hearts of many.
