Marie Arruda (nee Wargo) of Hastings died on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at age 95. Born on March 13, 1918 to John and Helen (Risko) Wargo in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Arruda worked as the Office Manager for Silver Lining Laundry in Yonkers for over 37 years retiring in 1980. On June 25, 1939 she married Augustine Arruda in St. Peter’s Church, he died in 1994. Marie is survived by her sister Mildred Hufnagel and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday November 12th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Matthew’s Church in Hastings on Wednesday November 13th. At 10am with Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
