Marie Zenecky

Marie Zenecky of Yonkers died on Sunday December 6, 2015 at age 66. She was born on December 12, 1948 to Stephen and Olga (Lysak) Zenecky in Germany. Marie worked as a school teacher in the NY City School System for over 15 years; teaching grade school math. She graduated from Lehman College with a B.A. in Education and Fordham University with her Master’s in Education. Miss Zenecky was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and an active member of the Ukrainian American Woman’s League and the Nation Rifle Association. Marie is survived by her mother Olga and her brother John Zenecky and her sister in law Betty Zenecky. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews John Jr, Edward A, and Lisa M, (Ronald) Kachnik. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Friday December 11th at 9:30am. Interment will be at Pinebush Cemetery, Kerhonkson, NY. Donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Building Fund.
