

She was an administrative assistant for the Lawless and Mangione Co. in Yonkers for many years before being diagnosed with cancer. Marni was born on January 11, 1962 to Joseph and Teresa Mulcahy McDonald in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. She attended Christ the King Grade School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1980. She married her husband Scott Trainor on October 12, 1991 in a quiet ceremony. Mr. Trainor survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father Joseph McDonald of Lakeland, Fl. Marni was predeceased by her mother in 1997 and her brother Timothy in 2002. She was also predeceased by her mother in law, Teresa who passed away Feb. 2, 2018 and her father in law Jeffrey of Jeff’s Motorcycles of Yonkers who passed away on July 3, 2005. Marni was extremely fashion conscious. Her hair, make up and clothing were always perfect and she had a large collection of shoes from which to choose which had to match the rest of her clothing perfectly. She adored all animals, especially her little Chihuahua, Peanut who took up most of her time while she recovered from several surgeries. Marni was courageous in her battle with cancer and she was an inspiration to all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Thursday January 3rd at 11am. Final disposition will be private.
