Michael A. Doyle

Michael A. Doyle of Yonkers died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at age 81. Born on August 7, 1931 to Michael and Catherine (Magner) Doyle in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Saunders High School. Mr. Doyle was a Yonkers fireman for over Twenty five years, where he was the driver for Engine 304, he retired in 1982. On October 16, 1955 he married Mary McCabe in St. Denis Church, she survives living in Yonkers. Michael was a Parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church; member of the Racket Club and a Korean Army War veteran. Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by his three daughters; Cathy Perkins; Carolyn (Patrick) Camerino and Christine (Robert) Papale. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren; Melissa, Jennifer, Kellie, Matthew, Amanda, Robert, Danielle and Christopher and his three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Coleen Doyle who died in 1986. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on both days Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Church on Monday, March 4th at 10:45 a.m. Committal Service at Ferncliff Chapel.
