Michael Lowe

On Thursday, April 16, 2020, Michael Peter Lowe, loving husband, father, and grandfather,passed away at the age of 70. Michael was born on August 12, 1949 in the U.K. to Colonel Peter Anthony Lowe and Anne Ehtel Mary (Beresford-Peirse) Lowe. He received his BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972, a MS in Education from Marywood University in 1977, and worked in Human Resources for over 30 years. On June 30, 1984, he married Sheilah Jeane Zaha. They raised two sons, Matthew and Jeremy, and one daughter, Victoria. Michael had a passion for sailing, and would have spent all day on a boat if you let him! Every family vacation required a day on the water. He was committed to serving others, and dedicated his career to helping people achieve their goals. He worked at World Education Services in New York. His colleagues often referred to him as the “best boss ever.” He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Katrina. He is survived by his wife, Sheilah; his children, Matthew, Jeremy and Victoria; his grandchildren, Christopher, Maxwell, Samuel, Sadie, and a new grandson due to arrive in June; his brother, David; his sister, Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.
