Nancy E. Lim

Nancy fought with incredible strength until the very end, surrounded by the love, prayers, and support of her family.

Born on November 15, 1958, in Bauang, La Union, Philippines, to Pedro Estioco and Juana Estioco, Nancy lived a life filled with beauty, grace, generosity, compassion, and kindness.

Nancy graduated from Union Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She devoted 36 years of her life to serving others as a registered nurse. Throughout her nursing career, Nancy cared for countless patients with compassion, patience, and dedication. She was known for treating those in her care with dignity and kindness, offering not only medical support but also comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.

Nancy married the love of her life, Nestor Lim, in 1987. Together, they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, family, faith, and devotion to one another.

Nancy loved the color yellow, beautiful flowers, reading by the window, and hosting family parties and gatherings. She treasured spending time with her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Nancy created long lasting friendships as close as any family can ever have. She will be remembered for her warm laugh, gentle wisdom, generous spirit, and special way of making everyone around her feel loved and at home.

Mom’s greatest legacy cannot be measured by the years she worked, the places she lived or traveled, or even the many people she cared for as a nurse. Her greatest legacy is the love she gave to her family, friends, co workers, and the strength she instilled in us. As her only son, I will carry with me everything she taught me, her strength, determination, generosity, faith, and unwavering love for family. Mom, you fought a good fight. You gave us everything you had, and you loved us in the only way you knew how with your whole heart. Life will never be the same without you, but I will carry you with me for the rest of my life.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Nestor Lim; her beloved son, Nelson Lim, and daughter-in-law, Eunice Lim; her sister, Romelia Snow (Benjamin Snow); her brother, Manuel Estioco (Teresita Estioco); Josefina Elopre (Gil Elopre) and Nimfa Abenojar (Raymond Abenojar); her sisters-in-law, Lillian Lim, Lulu Lim, Corazon Feliciano (Larry Feliciano) and Grace Lim; and her many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Estioco and Juana Estioco; her brothers, Rolando Estioco and Ruben Estioco; her sister, Eufemia Menes; and her brothers-in-law, Joaquin Lim and Carlos Lim.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers, New York.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Nancy’s life will be held on September 2, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Church in Yonkers, New York.

Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Nancy fought a good fight and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her love, strength, compassion, and beautiful memories will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Heaven just got a dedicated Registered Nurse and a lot more a Filipina.
