Paraskewia Kaczor

Paraskewia (Peggy) Kaczor, a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY died on October 18, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born in Rozdziele, Poland to the late Simon and Julia Dudra. Peggy worked at Precision Valve Corporation in Yonkers, NY and Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, NY. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Paraskewia was pre-deceased by her late husband Michael Kaczor and her grandson John Simon Kaczor, Jr. She is survived by her children John (Barbara) Kaczor, Marie Kaczor and Julie (Patrick) Serenson, her grandchildren, Kathy (Donald) Schnetzler, Jan Kaczor and her great grandchildren, Donald and Alyssa Schnetzler and Kayla Kaczor. Paraskewia enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, reading poetry and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Holiday gatherings were always extra special for her. Paraskewia (Peggy) will be remembered for her love of the family and for her warm and kind heart. She will be missed by all. Visiting hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday October 22nd 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Pannakhyda Tuesday 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 23rd at 10 am in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 21 Shonnard Place, Yonkers, NY. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Saw Mill River Road, Hastings on Hudson, NY.
