Pat was the only child of Jean (Sealander) and Lewis Donovan. She graduated from Hastings High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Lawrence University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
In 1965, she married Lawrence “Larry” McCrudden, who survives her. Pat retired from Bleakley, Platt & Schmidt, where she worked as an Estates and Trusts Paralegal.
Throughout her life, Pat was a devoted advocate for children and her community. She served as a Board Member for Northern Ireland Children’s Enterprise and welcomed several children into her home through the Irish Children’s Summer Program. She also served on the Board of the March of Dimes and as City Chair for its Mothers March.
Together, Pat and Larry established “The Great Birthday Caper,” a cherished program that provided birthday gifts to children and teenagers for more than 30 years. At Christ the King Parish, Pat was instrumental in the creation of the Msgr. Foley Scholarship Trust Fund.
For nearly 60 years, Pat served on the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee in countless vital capacities, both out front and behind the scenes. She had the unique distinction of serving as Grand Marshal for three years—2020, 2021, and 2022.
In addition to her husband, Larry, Pat is survived by her children, Jean Tickell (Cammie), Nancy Meza, and Larry McCrudden; and by her beloved grandchildren, James McCrudden, Aiden Meza, Jack Tickell, Zane McCrudden, Cal McCrudden, Lou Meza, and Hudson Meza.
