Patricia Ann Powers

Patricia Ann Powers “Patsy” (nee Carroll) of Yonkers died on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at age 82. She was born on November 7, 1930 to George and Margaret (Mahon) Carroll in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce HS. Mrs. Powers worked as a Clerk for Westchester County in the Social Service Dept. On April 16, 1956 she married Edward J. Powers (Dead-End) in St. Joseph’s Church; he died in 1998. Patsy was a #1 New York Yankee Fan and enjoyed her summers with family at Chadwick Beach at the Jersey Shore. She is survived by her 6 children; Dennis (Mary) Powers of So. Brunswick, Edward (Bridget) Powers of Chappaqua, Donald (Kari) Powers of So. Hampton N.H., Patricia (Sissy) Matessino of Yonkers, Margaret (Richard) Groccia of Cortlandt Manor and Maureen (Jose) Galeano of Putnam Valley. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren; Michael, Robert, Ally, Tara, Casey, Deirdre, Colleen, Kady, Richard, Patricia, Eddie, Brendon, Jamie and Jake and her sister Ann (Thomas) Neville and her nephew Tommy Neville. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Carroll. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Friday May 24th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Fund 1 St. Jude Avenue Memphis, Tenn.
