Paul Lacek formerly of Yonkers died on Sunday March 13, 2011 in Norfolk Virginia at age 75. He was born on January 19, 1934 in Czechoslovakia to John and Mary Marcinek Lacek. He married Valeria Steponovic on May 22, 1965 in St. Bartholomew’s Church she died in 1994. Mr. Lacek enjoyed spending time watching airplanes take off and land at the airport. He is survived by his son Brian (Karina) Lacek, a daughter Karen (Garrett) Twigg, 2 granddaughters Alexandra and Elizabeth, a sister Veronica and sister-in-law Louise Lacek, also 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He was pre deceased by 2 sisters Helen and Martha and a brother Milan. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday (today) from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Bartholomew’s Church on Saturday March 19th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
