Pauline Gallagher

Pauline Gallagher (nee Leuzzi) of Yonkers died on Saturday April 12, 2014 at age 81. She was born on October 18, 1932 to Ralph and Antionette Leuzzi in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Gallagher was the Director of Cafeteria at Sacred Heart Schools in Yonkers; working for over 30 years. On February 19, 1955 she married Joseph R. Gallagher (Y.F.D. Asst. Chief) in Holy Eucharist Church; he died in 1993. Pauline was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was inducted into Sacred Hearts “Hall of Fame” in 2000. She enjoyed her reading, shopping, lunch with friends and going to the beach. Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her 5 children Joseph (Beth Ann) Gallagher of Hopewell Junction, Paul (Lisa) Gallagher of Poughquay, NY, Annette (Brian) Buchanan of Poughquay, NY, Laurie (Jim) Mortensen of Manhattan and Maryellen (Tom) Ebrech of Greenwich, Ct. she is also survived by 9 grandchildren (7 boys and 2 Girls). Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday at 11am. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 1 St. Jude Way Memphis, Tenn.
