He was born on April 29, 1966 to Michael and Anna Howansky Barna in Poland. He was a graduate of Polytech Institute in Brooklyn. Mr. Barna was a mechanical engineer for the Safe Flight Instrument Corporation in White Plains for about fifteen years. Previously, he worked at the Pall Corporation and the Steinway Company. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, an active member of the SUMA Credit Union, a member of the Krylaty Sports Club and was a founding member of the Vatra band. He enjoyed reading, was an avid musician and soccer fan. He was a man with a huge heart and a big sense of humor. On June 24, 2016, he married his loving wife, Oksana Limanska in Mamaroneck. Mrs. Barna survives and lives in Hartsdale. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Konstantine Limansky of Hartsdale and two sisters, Barbara Andrusko and her husband Emil of Yardley, PA and Nina Barna of West Harrison. He is also survived by two nephews, Michael and Andrijko and his wife, Melissa. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Panakhyda Service Friday 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday April 6th at 10am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
