
Raymond A. Fennell died at home on September 16, 2013 at the age of 76. A lifelong resident of Yonkers, Ray was born on January 18, 1937 to Thomas Fennell and Elizabeth Morrissey. He worked at Con Edison for 38 years, and served in the Marine Corps, from which he was honorably discharged. More recently, Ray spent part of each year in Boca Raton, FL.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Livia, whom he married on July 7, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Church in Yonkers. Survivors also include his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ann and Nicholas D’Ambrosio; children Maureen (Brian) O’Loughlin and Raymond (Daniella) Fennell, and grandchildren Brianne, Marissa, Raymond and Daniel; his cherished niece Debbie (Ernie) Hicks and her children Nick and James; nephew Ray O’Toole; and sister Mary Merrill. He was predeceased by a sister, Edna O’Toole, and brothers Harold and Buddy Fennell. Ray also leaves many friends, especially in North Yonkers.
A viewing will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers on Wednesday, September 18 from 3 pm to 7 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart in Yonkers at 11 am on Thursday, September 19.
