

Regina Antash (nee Burns), a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Friday September 26, 2014 in South Carolina. She was 91 years old. She was born on September 4, 1923 to Lawrence and Nora Kelly Burns in Yonkers where she was raised and educated, graduating from Commerce High School. Mrs. Antash was a salesperson for women’s shoes at Gimbals Department Store in Yonkers for many years until her retirement in 1988. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and a former parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church. On July 6, 1946, she married her loving husband, Albert J. Antash in St. Joseph’s Church. Mr. Antash died on December 24, 1995. Mrs. Antash is survived by four sons, Albert L. Antash and his wife Loretta of Myrtle Beach, SC, Robert Antash and his wife Laurie of Yonkers, Lawrence Antash and his wife Mary of Indian Land, SC and Michael Antash and his wife Michelle of Kingwood, TX and a sister, Theresa Bower of Dover, DE. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James Antash, four brothers, Lawrence, William, Jackie and Joseph Burns and one sister, Hilda Sexton. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Friday October 3rd at 10am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
