Mr. Richard Denes, born on February 26, 1944 as an only child to Erno and Yolanda Denes in Budapest Hungary. He was only 5 months old when he was taken prisoner in Ravensbruck and then in April 1945 he was placed in another Prison in Berlin, Germany during the Holocaust. He was rescued with his Mother Yolanda Denes in May 19, 1947 to New York. He lived in Brooklyn, NY., before residing in Yonkers, NY,. He was a Holocaust Survivor. At 76 he died at St. John’s Hospital in Yonkers, NY, on Sunday, March 29, 2020. He worked at a Church in Bronxville, NY, worked for the 1990 Census, he took some college courses and was a computer Technician and worked other small jobs. Richard met his wife Maryann and one year later on September 18, 1975, he got married. Where he met his wife in Brooklyn. Survived by his children, Michael , with Fiance Bernadette Kearney, Christopher , Joanne and husband Roderick, and Anthony with wife Yaraldid Denes with children Naomi and Rosemary. Granddaughter Rodraya.Pope and a host of cousins ,family and friends. Due to the Corona Virus Outbreak, all services are private: immediate family only. A memorial visitation and service will be scheduled at a future date.
