Devil Dog,

I love you, it’s been a year since you’ve been gone. Oh How time flies, feels like yesterday. Please continue to watch over me and our son Arron. Every time I look at our son, he reminds me of you. His demeanor, everything and he’s gotten more taller. He’s doing great in college and I’m sure he wants to make you proud. We love and miss you so much Richard. We talk about you almost every day. The type of person you are, the things you do, everything. I love you, I love you, I love you. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me and our son. Continue to dance in heaven like you mentioned you’d do while here on this Earthly Plane. Semper Fi ❤️🫶🏼

Miss seeing you and Lucas play. Being that cats are very intuitive, I can sense that he feels the void.

Rick was an amazing person: a great father and uncle who also lived a remarkable life. I was blessed to have had him as an uncle growing up. A memory I still have to this day that brings a smile to my face: Going to the grocery store with Rick pushing me in the shopping cart; he would make monkey faces at me that would make me laugh hysterically. Rick was fun, kind, and loving. He was one of the best parts of my childhood growing up. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. My love, thoughts, and prayers are with you all.

My deepest condolences and prayers to Rick’s sons, Rico, and Aaron, to Val, Etaun, and all who knew and loved Rick.
Rick was an awesome cousin to me, he was an awesome human being who will be truly missed!

My condolences to his family. My heart goes out to you. Rich Ford was a gentleman… always 💙

Love you and miss you Dad. You were more than a father to me, my best friend, my protector, the one I could turn to most. I miss your laugh, your smile, and those big bear hugs you used to give me 🧸. You were taken away from us too soon but God said it was time for you to come home. May you rest in paradise with Him and his angels. Love you Champ, Ouss 💪🏽

Worked with Richard at the first precinct. We did midnights together and on occasions we partnered up doing a sector. I am truly saddened to hear he passed away. May he rest in peace and may his family find solace remembering what an amazing gentleman he was.

Your friends and neighbors.

May the life Rick lived be an shining example of what a real farther, brother, uncle and friend looks like

I knew Rich Ford since 1987. We worked at the U.S Mission to the United Nations as armed contract Security Officers. Rich was mainly at the ambassadors suite in the Waldorf Astoria Penthouses. He was an exemplary protection professional who I respected as a coworker and friend.
I regret that Rich and I lost touch when we changed jobs, but through social media we rekindled our friendship a few years back. He was still the same calm, steady, gentle but firm force that I remembered and I didn't realize till then how much I missed him.
I'm thankful we got reacquainted before illness took him home again. My condolences to his family and all of us for the loss of such a man as Eugene Richard Ford.

Now you’re with your Mom and Dad (Nana & Pops)

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences for the loss of Richard Ford, a true brother in arms and a cherished friend. Richard was not just a comrade with whom I shared military duty; he was a vital part of my life—a brother bound by trust, love, and shared experiences that transcended the ordinary.

From the very beginning of our journey together, Richard embodied loyalty, strength, and compassion. We navigated the challenges of military life side by side, forging a bond that was as strong as steel. Beyond the battlefield, our friendship flourished through countless family exchanges, laughter, and moments that will forever be etched in my heart.

Richard’s departure into eternity leaves a profound void in my life and the lives of all who knew him. His spirit, courage, and unwavering support will be sorely missed. I find comfort in knowing that we walked this journey together, sharing both trials and triumphs, and that our memories will remain a testament to his incredible spirit.

As we honor Richard's legacy, let us cherish the love and friendship we shared, holding onto the lessons he imparted and the joy he brought into our lives. I will miss you dearly, my brother. Until we meet again, may your soul find peace.

With heartfelt sympathy,

Dr. Thomas J. Richburg

Richard,

Devil Dog, my heart is heavy. Still in disbelief that you’re gone. But relieved that you’re no longer in pain. GOD knows what’s best. I love and miss you so much.

Thank you for the many years you took care of me and our Son. You will be truly missed. Not only by me, Arron, & the rest of the Family, but by many people who’s known you to be such a Good Man, Family Man, Great Friend and such a Great Father to Rico and Arron.

Till we meet again, Rest in Eternal Peace, Praying for the repose of your Soul ❤️
