
Robert A. Quinn of Yonkers died on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at age 69. Born on August 6, 1946 to William and Dorothy (Hallenbeck) Quinn in Yonkers, where he was raised and educated, and graduated from Gorton High School; Mercy College and Westchester Community College. Mr. Quinn worked as a telephone switchman for N.Y. Telephone Company for over thirty four years; retiring in 2002. On October 25, 1969 he married Christine Liuzzo in St. Barnabas Church, she survives living in Yonkers. Robert was a proud Marine; serving thirteen months in Vietnam with the Force Recon and was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and was an avid golfer. Besides his wife Christine, he is survived by his three sons; Robert (Keri), Paul (Michelle) and Christopher (April) Quinn; his four grandchildren Paul Jr; Emme, Jack and Courtney, his two brothers; William and Richard and his sister Dorothy D’Amico. He was predeceased by his brother John. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Saturday, December 12th at 10:00 a.m. Committal service with military honors will be at Ferncliff Chapel.
