Roger W. Safko Sr. of Yonkers died on Tuesday Decemeber 4, 2012 at age 78. Born on June 20, 1934 to William and Hazel (Bischolf) Safko in Yonkers where he was raised and educated. Mr. Safko worked as a machinist at Phelps Dodge. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian Marie Robinson who died in1998. He is survived by his 5 children, Eleanor Shubert, Linda (Joseph) Tarcinale, Roger Safko Jr. (Sally) Lisa Safko and Donna (Kenneth) Curtin; also 8 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. He was also predeceased by 3 sisters Beatrice, Gertrude and Eleanor. Visitation hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Thursday December 6, 2012 morning from 9:30am to 11:30am. Funeral Service will be at 11:30am with Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 1 St. Jude Avenue Memphis TN.
