

Born in NYC and raised in Yonkers, NY, the son of Maria & Nicholas Sydor, he was a long time resident of Yonkers.
In his youth, he was a member of the Ukrainian American Youth Association. As a teenager, he played soccer and was a member of the Krylati Soccer Club in Yonkers. After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Degree in Photography, he spent his early years pursuing that passion. He was a very talented photographer and captured the best and most loving moments at special events. He not only took pride in his business but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business.
Prior to retiring in 2007, he worked in the Construction industry for the Carpenter’s Union.
His interests included fitness, motorcycles, sports and he was an avid coin collector. All who loved him dearly, knew that Roman truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. A natural –born storyteller, he always cheered up family & friends with his sense of humor, warm smile and big heart.
Mr. Sydor is survived by his sister Christina Orenbach (brother-in-law Ken), brother Walter (sister-in-law Luba), nephew Daniel, nephew Alexander, daughter Larissa, son Rusty.
