
Rudolph Castiglione, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Tuesday March 27, 2012 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. He was 82 years old. He was born on September 15, 1929 to Angelo and Jennie DiDonato Castiglione in Yonkers where he was raised and educated. Mr. Castiglione was a maintenance man at the Boice Thompson Institute in Yonkers for over twenty five years until his retirement. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was an avid Yankee fan from when he was a young child. He also enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers. Survivors include two sisters, Anne Bova and Lucy Valente both of Yonkers and a brother Constantine Castiglione also of Yonkers. He is also survived by many devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Friday March 30th at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
