Sean McCann

He was born on April 19, 1952 to John and Rose McGovern McCann in Yonkers. He graduated Mercy College in 1977. Mr. McCann was a professional sales representative for The Home Depot in New Rochelle from 1996 to 2016. Previously, he worked as a professional sales representative at Lockwood Lumber in Yonkers. Mr. McCann served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972 to 1978 as a sergeant. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune / USMC reserves and received the national defense service medal. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Post in Yonkers and the Homefield Association from 1989 to 2025. He married his loving wife, Nancy Veneri in 1990 in St. Anthony’s Church in Yonkers. Mrs. McCann survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Louise Serpico of Fairfax, VA and his three granddaughters, Catherine, Elizabeth and Victoria. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rose (McGovern) McCann and a sister, Patricia McCann who died in 1973.

Visiting hours for Sean will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 10 Squire Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Ave, New York, NY 10470.
