Sr. Mary Joanne Ward, S.C. also known as Mary Ward, died at the Convent of Mary the Queen on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013. Sr. M. Joanne ministered in Social Services and Adminstration. She served at St. Joseph’s Children’s Services, Brooklyn, St. Agatha Home, Nanuet, the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, NYC. She also served the Sisters of Charity as a Regional Superior. Sister M. Joanne is predeceased by her brother John Ward and her sister Grace Gately. She is survived by her brother Patrick Ward and his wife Lorraine, and several nieces and nephews.
She will be waked at the Convent of Mary the Queen on Sunday, July 21 from 2- 8 PM; Vigil Service at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Monday, July 22. Arrangements under the direction of
