Stella Morello (nee Vingo), a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at her residence. She was 86 years old. She was born on September 5, 1931 to Michael and Lucy Fushella Vingo in the Bronx where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Morello worked as a decorator at the Flowertime Nursery in Yonkers for several years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing tennis and women’s softball. On September 5, 1953, she married her loving husband, Joseph N. Morello in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx. Mr. Morello died on June 16, 2016. Mrs. Morello is survived by a daughter, Linda Medina and her husband, Gilbert of Yonkers and a son, Stephen Morello of the Bronx. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Morello, Jr. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday February 13th 9:30 -11am with a funeral service at 11am. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery.
