Teresa Kaszczak

Teresa Kaszczak (Kofla) , wife of Andrew Kaszczak passed away on May 12, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital in Yonkers, NewYork. She was born on December 20, 1933 in Wawrzka, Lemkivschyna in present-day Poland. As a young girl she attended the Ukrainian catholic parish in the neighboring village of Florynka. Her parents, Ivan Kofla and Eufrozyna (Kuzmiak) had twelve children of which ten survived to adulthood. Teresa was the third youngest of ten children. Her sister Antonina Zielonka of New Jersey is her only surviving sibling. Teresa is survived by her husband Andrew, their children Lydia and her husband Walter, Rev Ivan and Lesia. She was predeceased by her son George in 1998. She leaves her grandchildren Michael and his wife Melissa, Stephen, Victoria and her husband Bryan. Her great grandchildren are Athena and Arthur. We commend her to God’s tender care and our sincere prayers.

A visitation for Teresa will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 21 Shonnard Pl, Yonkers, NY 10703. A committal service will occur Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
