Thomas “Tommy” D. Hanrahan of Tampa, Fl. passed away suddenly Friday February 12, 2016. He was born on November 18, 1947 to Thomas and Bernice (Freund) Hanrahan in Yonkers, NY where he was raised and attended Saunders H.S. Thomas served his country proudly as a US Army Medic during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Mt. Vernon Police Officer and served as PBA President. He is survived by two children, Thomas (Tammy) Hanrahan of Matawan, NJ, Patricia (Mark) Grauert of New Fairfield, CT; two grandchildren Matthew and Blake Grauert, three sisters, Rosanne Sorby of Hawthorne, NY, Patricia Jones of Yonkers, NY and Barbara LeMay of Southbury, CT, five nephews and one niece. Memorial visitation will be on Friday from 4-8pm at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Ferncliff Cemetery at a private service.
