

Thomas A. Muscente, Sr., a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Friday March 25, 2011 at his residence. He was 79 years old. He was born on August 1, 1931 to Giovanni and Caroline (D’Aletta) Muscente in Yonkers where he was raised and educated, graduating from Yonkers High School. Mr. Muscente was a machinist for Phelps Dodge Wire and Cable Company for thirty six years until his retirement in 1997. He served his country proudly as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War. On September 20, 1958, he married his loving wife Antoinette F. Quicci in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he was a lifelong parishioner. Mrs. Muscente died on March 2, 2008. “He spent all of his spare time with his granddaughter, Danielle, who was his pride and joy” his family said. Survivors include his two sons, Thomas A. Muscente, Jr. and his wife Francine and Joseph Muscente both of Yonkers and his cherished granddaughter Danielle. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Muscente. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Monday March 28th at 10 AM.
